FAQ

What are the activities?
The activity streams are an interactive way to keep up with what’s new on the website and what’s going on with the members of K-Pop Community. They are small updates where members can comment on and for ways to send other member’s public short messages.

Here’s a list of activity streams the website creates:
- Personal member updates
- Members public mentions
- Newly added Spotlights
- New posts on members blogs
- New Forum Topics
- Fanclub activities
- Newly added Soapboxes
- Blog, notes and spotlight comments
- New notes

What are the fanclubs?
Fanclubs are groups created by the K-Pop Community admin’s or members, which fans can join or create to show their appreciation to their favourite Korean artists. Groups consist of their own activity streams, forums dedicated to the particular artist which the group is dedicated to and Spotlights, where you can find the artists latest music videos.

What are Spotlights?
Spotlights are focused articles featuring the latest releases, which bring fans together and also spark debate. Each Spotlight includes a music video, along with the Korean, Romanized and translated lyrics, a reviewing system and a voting poll where members can take part in. K-Pop Community users can earn more points to their accounts by commenting with their opinions, submitting a review. Along with this, they can also show that they are a fan by clicking the ‘I love this’ button. Each Spotlight is connected to the artists fanclubs.

How do I create a fanblog?
If you wish to create a dedicated blog for your favourite idols, you can do so by heading over to the ‘Start a blog’ link. Once you have created the blog, the admins of the site will be notified and they can then attach the blog to the corresponding fanclub. If you wish so, you can allow members of the fanclub to have the capabilities to add their own posts to the blog!

Can I create a personal blog?
Of course! You can create any blog of your choice, whether it be a personal blog, a fan blog or even a portfolio. The choice is yours, as long as it follows the guidelines.

What are notes?
‘Notes’ are posts which are created by you. If you have something that you want to say, but can’t fit it in an activity update, you can create a note instead. Notes can be anything, from a personal journal, a rant, to promote your fan club, an article about your favourite idols or simply just spamming your love for your favourite singer. Notes are simply there for you to publish what you want to share. You can become a popular author and earn more points to your account by our readers ‘loving’ your posts! You will be able to see the most loved posts in the sidebar on the homepage.

What are Soapboxes?
Just like the ‘Notes’, ‘Soapboxes’ are posts which are created by you, the members of the site. Soapboxes can be found in fanclubs, under the ‘Explore’ tab and are articles which can be created by you, the fans of the artist that the fanclub belongs to. Soapboxes are basically a way of speaking your mind to the other fans of your idols. Whether it be the latest news and gossip, generally sharing love for the artist or having a rant about the latest goings on. This is a great way for fans to become more interactive with eachother, and an even better way to further their love for their idols and gain even more knowledge and opinions. So, get on your Soapbox and starting posting in the fanclubs!
